Empire State Building Lights - What is it telling us?

A symbol of NYC, the ESB frequently changes its colors. The 102-store building located in the 34th street, which had its construction completed on 1931, and became the world's tallest building (after 2001 sadly return to the position of NYC's tallest skyscraper), has three stages of lights on its top.

Its floodlights change colors to match with events and other special events.  At its official website (http://www.esbnyc.com/tourism/tourism_lightingschedule.cfm), but the site "What Color is the Empire States Building" (http://whatcoloristheempirestatebuilding.com/) makes it way more attractive. Check it Out!
